The Cuddle Corps

• Rifle Ted: wades up the beach and pops corks at you from the sand. 10 points.
• Snips (red armband): snips a wire segment in 8 s; hit or suppress him and the cut starts over. 25 points.
• Landing craft: you hear the whistle, and the ramp drops 6 s later. Small arms won't stop it.

Your kit

• Nutcracker MG (Nest 2, press E): a 150-round belt. Heat climbs as you fire and locks the gun at the top, so fire in bursts. Bears it sprays near cower.
• Longshot (1): right-click to scope, hold Shift to steady your breath. 5 rounds, and a shot goes through one bear.
• Acorn Pistol (3): 10 quick rounds for close work.
• Trench Spade (4): a heavy swing that knocks bears flying.
• Pinecone (5): 4 carried. R sets the fuse; right-click drops it underhand over a lip.

Holding on

• Wire: hold E for 3 s on the pad of a cut segment to restring it.
• The flag: ten hugs on the Acorn Standard and the bluff is lost.
• Reserves: you have 3. Go down and you're back at the depot 6 s later.
• The Lull: 30 s between waves. Grab the crate at the depot, or hold F to skip.
