🎐 Pendulum Wave
Fifteen pendulums with slightly different lengths create waves that line up and spread out over time.
Wave demo
Watch the balls sync into lines and then scatter — they realign every ~60 seconds
Why it works
Each pendulum has a slightly different length, so it has a slightly different period. They start in sync; over time they drift in and out of phase, creating traveling wave patterns. A classic physics demo.
Tip
Pause when they form a straight line or a smooth curve, then resume to see the pattern evolve.
